That’s truse, you can see our aquarium online. Just click on
the following link here and then type in the username (fishtank)
and the password (saltwater) NO Brackets from your Internet
browser to see one of our favorite hobbies. We’ve had the tank for
almost 2-years now Its mostly a coral tank but there are a few fish
that call it home. At present you can only see about a third of the
tank from the video camera. You can zoom in from the web cam
but no panning yet. It’s a 116-gallon corner unit we bought from
4fishtank.com in NEW York. They have in our opinion the best
selection of tanks and stands on the market. Alex our sales
contact was extremely helpful and informative. They manufacture
their own glass and stands in-house and thats what sold us on their
product. We purchased everything except the lights from 4fishtank
and had it shipped right to our front door in Nebraska. Shipping
only took 5-days to get here and it just barely made it through the
front door after removing the door. It has a 20-gallon refugium
and the supply and return lines are hidden in the back of the tank.
It took about 3-hours and 4 willing bodies to setup everything but
it was worth it. Everyone that comes over asks if the tank was
built-in to the house since it matches the woodwork in out home
and looks perfect in the corner of the house, we just smile :) . I’ll
admit that the cost of a saltwater tank setup is initially higher
then a freshwater setup, but the maintenance is far lower and the
color of corals and fish available is a lot nicer. We’re still learning
how to best care for our new friends but little by little we are
lowering costs, like growing our own Plankton (see News Plankton
Culture) and by buying seafood from the grocery store and
blending it to make our own.
Buddy & Heidi’s Aquarium can be seen on-line too !!!
